What I Did: The pin makes it sound easy, just hot glue some twigs onto a glass votive holder! So I did that, and it was very cute. Then I lit the candle, and it was even more lovely! However, about 20 minutes later, I noticed the twigs were melting off! I am sure there is a glue that can be used that is heat resistant, but I just took the easy way out and tied some jute string around the middle. Fail/win!
My Result:
Next Time I Will: Use a heat resistant glue? Or just do what I did and tie a string around it. Or a pretty ribbon. You could change it out for different seasons! I would also use nicer twigs, but this was all I had in my yard.
I wonder if e6000 glue might work, it’s non-flammable and industrial strength so maybe worth a try. Your ribbon idea is a really good one though! Lace would be pretty too.
I wonder if not making candle decorations out of highly flammable material like twigs (“Kids, go pick up a bunch of sticks so we can start a campfire!” Remember this?) would be a better idea. lol
The key is to use a fake candle. Create zero heat, no risk of fire and even the cheap ones flicker to create a realistic atmosphere
You should definitly use same size sticks. And they should not be higher than the glass.
Pessoal….no curso nós aprendemos a cortar os galhos da altura das velas …aí não tem problema .. é claro que vai mudar o visual mas é mais seguro e fica lindo com canela em pau.

Try high temp hot glue. Less likely to melt the the regular stuff.
I’ve made these and used hot glue with no trouble but I didn’t use real candles. I used the battery operated ones that don’t generate heat that way there were no issues.
