What I Did: I wanted to make these string eggs for Easter decorations (first time using Mod Podge). After they dried and I popped the balloons, the “egg” shrunk in on itself and started making cracking noises from the Mod Podge shrinking in with it.
My Result:
Next Time I Will: not use as much Mod Podge. I think it was too much. I probably would let them dry for a little longer before popping. I waited a day but maybe it needed longer.
Step away from the mod podge! I know that some people like it but honestly it’s just watered down glue that takes forever to dry. I use plain UNDILUTED elmers glue and get great results every time. AND it’s much cheaper.
or use flour and water like you would with paper mache
