What I Did: I’ve had a lot of success at Pinterest baking recipes and this Santa Bread kept popping up on my homepage. Finally, I gave in to the temptation and I had all of the stuff the recipe called for. What could go wrong? Too much. I thought I had the dough thin enough and it looked half decent when I stuck it in the oven. I knew the beard wouldn’t be exactly the same, but I didn’t think it mattered much. However, I noticed that this bread kept rising, rising…. and well, you can see what it turned into. The food coloring seeped into the one eye hole and since the bread had risen so much, it wasn’t covering the hat or nose properly. This is my first fail and I’m quite proud of it!

My Result:

Next Time I Will: I think it could be saved. I’d roll the dough out even thinner next time and I’d work the food coloring egg was into the dough a bit do it doesn’t run. I’d also use more dough for the beard so that it gives it a fuller appearance.

Holy Cow! I remember this Santa Bread from when I was a kid…which is considered the Middle Ages to most young folk!
You did not do a such a bad job at all for the first time forming Santa! This is not that easy to form, as far as I am concerned!

I’ve yet to try amy “Pinject” because I know damn well that, no matter how idiot-proof it promises to be, it’ll t5& up here. But if I’ma fail, I may as well fail with styley and nothing says style like a creepy “Santa on meth” bread!
