What I Did: Recipe said to broil 4-5 inches for 30 seconds. I broiled it for 4-5 minutes, oops!

ROTFL - did the fire department enjoy the remains when they showed up with the lights and sirens? I’m sure there was a ton of black smoke just rolling out of the oven with all that scorched sugar. I caught dinner (on the grill) on fire a few weeks ago — I don’t dare post the evidence online. I did get to teach my kids how to deal with a grease fire safely, so I take that for the win.
