What I Did: My before cooking picture looked a lot like the Pinterest picture, however, my after cooking picture looked more like mustaches.

My Result:

Next Time I Will: I guess next time I would secure the bacon ends together with a toothpick. I think that might help. We had a good Valentine’s Day mustache laugh!

i see no fail here. bacon = perfection. period.

but yes, toothpicks would probably help

probably due to witchcraft or sorcery to keep them together

I`m thinking you might have scorched them too hard, maybe at a lower temperature for longer time, they would keep it together?

I’ve made these a few times with a lot of success. I did them a little different than the directions from that pin though. I used a bacon press. I put the pan on a lower heat than what I would normally do bacon at, cut the pieces and shaped them how I wanted. Then very quickly laid the pieces in the pan and put the weight on (this is key). If you take too long to put the weight on they will start to move and become odd shapes. Then I just waited until they sounded done. After they cooled I dipped them in chocolate.

Here’s a link to how they came out: http://instagram.com/p/iPO41UBYM4/?modal=true

If you did these in a microwave instead of the oven . . . that might have been your problem?
