What I Did: I tried to make a Jell-O shot cake for my cousin’s birthday and this was the outcome. So we had Jell-O shots instead - hah!
My Result:

Next Time I Will: …
Ouch. Did you forget.to grease the mold?
yep that’s pretty much what mine looked like too. Very tasty though. I think there might be some tips in the original post from Jell-o
1) They are using way less liquid to Jell-o ratio than on the side of the Jell-o box. My boxes say 2cups water per box. They use 4 1/2 cups for 6 boxes
2) They actually add even more unflavored gelatin (3 envelopes) to the mix
Even Jell-o jigglers use more liquid - 1 liquid cup / package. So issue here is how firm the layers are. I also think that on my middle layer I got busy with the kids and let it set up too much creating a weak spot where the colors weren’t fused properly.
Since I don’t like the consistency of jigglers I think the end result of messy yummy rainbow was actually a win. Kids ate it anyways
Do you need to put the alcohol in the Jell-O Cake?
I think she just served it in shot glasses. No alcohol.
in my house ya would!!!
It looks like you forgot the yogurt.
