What I Did: My sister and I decided to some cute chocolate cups, using balloons, together. You just dip the balloons in some melted chocolate, pop the balloons when the chocolate is dry, and voila! Sweet little chocolate cups. The only thing the pin DIDN’T mention was that hot chocolate fresh out of the microwave tends to have a negative affect on balloons…or that it tends to be very painful to the skin upon contact.

My Result:

Next Time I Will: Next time we’ll wait until the chocolate has cooled sufficiently.

It doesn’t mention that because it is common sense, a basic thing the author is allowed to assume people possess.

It looks like you use water balloons. VERY stretched water balloons. I would try using regular balloons that aren’t blown up to their full capacity. Then there will be a thicker layer of rubber between the cool air and hot chocolate…?

I was a private chef for a family in my early 20’s. It was my FIRST day in their house alone, and I KNEW the husband was bringing the kids home alone and his wife was working late.

I tried these…same thing happened! I was COVERED in chocolate. So was their ceiling, their whole kitchen and incredibly the white sofa in the living room!!!

I jumped in the shower hoping against hope that he didn’t come home WHILE I WAS IN THE SHOWER!!! Somehow got everything clean and dinner on the table in time! *whew*
