What I Did: Supposed to be going to a “Fall Tailagate Party” for my Sunday school class, so I thought, “oh these are cute cupcakes and they look super easy to decorate!” Yeah, no. Mine look like poop with shoe strings. Not to mention my lines are not even, and some are curly and drawn to size, meaning I only put 3 to 4 lines on the football. When this woman has many more even, straight lines. My pampered chef cake decorator works really well, except on details… Like a straight line and hush, it WAS the cake decorators fault not my own. I can draw a straight line. __________________________ See. All in all I think I will be needing some forgiveness from my Sunday school class and some divine intervention, to not be known as the, “poop with shoe string cupcake woman.” Guess it’s better than the church gossiper. :o)

Next Time I Will: I think this project could work, with a fluffy icing and a better cake tip.
Oh my! If it’s any comfort, I know zero about football or footballs, so there really shouldn’t have been THAT many “stitches” as were on the original ones I made. I hope the concept works out better for you next time though!

My piping fails have always included store-bought frosting. It’s sticky and stringy and never sits right. If you want good lines, make your own frosting.
I agree that a smaller tip for the strings and the football frosting would work better. Also, use homemade frosting. It always works better than store bought.
