What I Did: I started a new blog project in which I am regularly making and discussing vintage recipes, and thought this Jello in a pineapple can was pretty clever and especially appropriate for New Year’s dinner since we were having ham. In a rush to get out the door on New Year’s Eve, I quickly made some Jello and poured it into the can, per the directions (without re-reading the instructions, because how hard is putting Jello in a pineapple can?!?!). I did modify the recipe a bit (lime to cherry, with added maraschino cherries) to fit in with our dinner. WHOOPS! Tactical error with expected results.
My Result:
Next Time I Will: I would re-read the instructions again, like three more times, before I made anything using gelatin! This is not my first time in the kitchen I KNOW better haha!
What caused it to fail? Too much water, or changing it to Cherry?
