What I Did: I saw these beautiful curtains on Pinterest. I had all the material, so I decided to make these. I should have checked out YouTube or some other idea for patterns, but I though I knew what I was doing - guess not! After hours of cutting and sewing, this was my end product. I probably should have just bit the bullet and bought them.
My Result:
Next Time I Will: get a pattern first or just go buy them.
As a designer and a sewer, I think you could still make these work if you make them shorter. If you look at the original valances, there are no big open spaces above them. Don’t give up, and good luck.
I also think they were done at an angle. The top sides look shorter.
