What I Did: I thought I’d try out a new recipe for the family. After following the recipe, the mix didn’t resemble a cookie mix; it was more like a cake batter. I popped it in the fridge for a few minutes and it seemed to harden slightly. During baking, they spread out and looked nothing like the pin photo. They do taste nice but they taste more like a cake than cookie.

Next Time I Will: check recipes to see if there are any comments. If I had done this before I started, I would have noticed that quite a few people had the same problem.
I tried making these cookies before and noticed the same thing; it reminded me almost of brownie batter, and I followed the instructions exactly. I added about 1/2 a cup more flour AND put it in the fridge before working with the dough to put it in the oven. They actually turned out moist even after more flour was added.
The cookies in the original picture look more like cake batter than cookie batter anyway.
