What I Did: Well things were going great, until we opened the oven and saw what looked like raw hamburger meat.

My Result:

Next Time I Will: I’m not exactly sure…but we still have half the cookie dough left over!

If there is no egg in the dough, I’d suggest eating the rest of it raw. Or line a muffin pan with paper liners and press the cookie dough into them so they hold their shape during baking.

I had a look at the recipe (here since that link is gone https://www.pinterest.com/pin/56787645277658404/)…

Did you crush up a couple of peppermint candy canes instead of buying the probably expensive peppermint chip things? Which is what I would’ve done, considering how cheap candy canes are.

I think you MIGHT be able to save the rest of the dough if you add more of everything except the sugar and candy canes/peppermint chips.

Various cookie failures can be caused by greasing or not greasing the sheets, or leaving them on the sheet too long after they’ve been removed from the oven. Sometimes the recipes’ cookie sheet instructions are omitted or wrong. Parchment paper eliminates these problems, and each sheet of paper can be used at least twice.

  5. St Croix Soy Candle

    Perhaps use it for Halloween:)
