What I Did: It took three of us two tries to get this cake right. I planned on making a rainbow cake for my daughter’s birthday. I changed nothing from the original recipe and directions other than the shape of the cake.
My Result:
Next Time I Will: We got it right on the second try.
The shape of the cake is exactly why it failed. Round cakes allow for thicker layers. Sheet cakes result in thin layers that don’t look impressive.
