Fail: Lumps of Coal

What I Did: Maybe if I owned a food processor things would have looked more appealing? Needless to say I am not taking this to my work Christmas party. Getting coal for Christmas is one thing, but getting piles of poo is a whole different story.

My Result:

Next Time I Will: Double the ingredients… one package of Oreos is not that much.

I actually came across this recipe looking for something for a work Christmas party.
I modified it. Only crunched the Oreos up into reasonably small pieces and then put the mixture into a muffin tin. Chilled them and popped them out and they really did look like “lumps of coal.” Not like that weird black cake brick they have pictured. Lol. They were a hit at work, and truly were like Oreo Rice Krispie Treats. Don’t need to put anything in the food processor. Just crunch cookies, mix with the marshmallow mixture after melted, and chill in molds if you’d like!.

I swear some of you aren’t even trying.

I think there might be an error with this depending on where you live.. in some places like england you dont get the large packages of oreos like sold in the US.. I always prefer a cookie count or so many cups of oreos crumbed etc.. makes it easier in countries that dont have american standards for snack foods.

maybe I’m looking at this wrong…but why is this haphazardly dumped on a cookie sheet? That’s not even how you make rice krispies… you spread them evenly in a casserole dish or a square pan so that they come out in a bar shape. User error.
