i tried this before. i used a cupcake tin to keep the avocado steady when moving. mine never made a mess, but i didn’t like the taste of baked avocado

You didn’t slice it straight across. The egg obviously wouldn’t have stayed inside even from the start.

So here is the recipe I tried and my photo (mauigirl) is the third photo if you scroll through. I think my photo was beautiful but these are an epic fail. I mean what could go wrong with a perfectly ripe room temp avocado with a beautiful farm fresh med sized egg? First of all, the egg white will NOT cook as quick as the yolk so to get the slimy white slightly done the yolk was like a rubber ball. Did I say that I prepare, taste, photo & review for the largest online home cooking web site? This was one of my worst assignments in fact LOL Jeez…I even wasted some perfectly lovely chive blossoms :)

Might also be a good idea to use extra small eggs.

Thankfully I have chickens, and my Easter Eggers lay really tiny eggs. I love it. xD
