What I Did: I saw this lovely idea for my year 1 class to write their Thanksgiving sentences last week, but I forgot to pin or screenshot the idea. I let them cut out circles, eyes, and feathers - complete with lovely “What I’m thankful for” text. I couldn’t put my finger on what was wrong; I just couldn’t see it… Eventually, I sat down, mid-lesson on my phone for 15 minutes trying to find out why they didn’t look like I remembered. By then it was too late and I had to send them home like this …
My Result:
Next Time I Will: realise that turkeys have beaks, feet, and random (yet important) red bit as well.
