What I Did: I used store bought cookie dough as instructed!

Next Time I Will: use a firmer dough that doesn’t flatten out 🙂
The instructions do not say to use store bought sugar cookie dough, just sugar cookie dough. There is, however, a note that if you DO use store bought sugar cookie dough, you need to mix a cup of flour into the dough so it will be firm enough. I’m guessing you didn’t.
On the bright side, you have a recipe for Bachelor Party cookies! (They look like boobs! )
