What I Did: We did all the right things, but we used the wrong pan. Hey, we tried.

Next Time I Will: use a new pan, or just go to Trader Joe’s.
Or some wax paper?
I have made these successfully many times. It doesn’t matter what kind of pan you use. First spread aluminum foil over the pan. Then spray the foil liberally with cooking spray. Bake the cookies according to directions. After they have cooled a few minutes you can peel the foil off the backs and they look wonderful.
It also looks like you may have cooked them too long. You must take them out of the oven before the candy turns brown.
