What I Did: My Mother and 5-year-old son decided to make a monster chocolate ice-cream cake for my birthday. They spent weeks plotting the event. Cakes were baked, decorative candies were procured, marshmallow frosting was whipped. A few minutes after the decorating began, the 5 year old lost interest and bailed. That left my mother with two overstuffed Ziplock bags of frosting leaking on the counter,co-mingling with the now melting ice-cream. She very quickly applied the frosting and candy decorations and stuck it back into the freezer. She then apologized that my cake did not turn out as I had expected?!? The cake, frosting and ice-cream were all tasty.
My Result:
Next Time I Will: not make an ice-cream cake when it is 90ºF outside, maybe turn on the AC, practice at least ONE tuft of monster “fur”, use a pastry bag instead of Ziplock bags for frosting, and definitely not allow the 5-year-old to choose the cake.
Honestly, I love it! Absolutely cracked me up. 🙂
That is so cute!
