What I Did: Anyone who knows me well, knows I really like to bake and I love to browse Pinterest. Well, let me just spare you the curiosity of making one of these soda cakes that have been making the rounds all over Pinterest. Pondering this idea for some days now, I was already a little dubious as to how just a box of cake mix and a 12 oz can of soda could possibly create some heavenly masterpiece - The picture says it all.

Hmm. We make these often, but we make them in a 9×13 pan. They work great!
I have made these types of cakes on several occasions, however I do not use heavy icing as they are a bit crumbly, I cloak them in ganache.
