What I Did: Every week (or so) at work we take turns bringing in goodies, and it was my turn this week -yes I know tomorrow is Saturday, but I work a rotating shift. Anyways, I came across this lovely pin and decided this is what I was going to make. It was all going extremely well; I followed all the tips to a “T”. I realized I didn’t have any melting candy on hand, but I had a bag full of milk chocolate chips - what’s the difference!? It should be just fine, but as you can see, that did not work. Hopefully, I can get to the store before work tomorrow, get the proper melting candy, and finish these up before my shift starts at 1400!
Next Time I Will: Seriously, don’t use chocolate chips. It starts out all nice and perfect looking and quickly turns into gloop. Lesson learned!

Just for future reference, you can use the chocolate chips if you add either a bit of cream (for ganache) or a bit of shortening to loosen the chocolate up!!
“I followed all the tips to a “T”, she says, and then “I realized I didn’t have any melting candy on hand, but I had a bag full of milk chocolate chips – what’s the difference!?”.
That’s not “following it to a T”.
