What I Did: Apparently, one can bake the chocolate too long.
Next Time I Will: never attempt this again.



You have to bake them until the chocolate is shiny THEN push your candy or peanut into them.
Sorry, but I would still eat them, looked yummy to me!!
I’ve made them, and they turned out just fine-but one does have to follow the directions as given :-). My niece also makes them every year, and they never fail-again, she follows the directions as given.
I also have made these and they came out perfect and delicious the very first time. Lol
I’ve made these several times (but used a pecan rather than an M&M) and they came out great. You just have to out the chocolate in there for just a couple of minutes and while the chocolate is hot, press the candy/nut into it. Easy peasy. 🙂
