What I Did: It is our baby’s first Christmas, and we put up our first Christmas tree. I saw this picture on Pinterest and thought it was a cute way to capture a moment. The lights on the tree look best when it is dark outside. Unfortunately, that’s when my baby starts to become tired. Unsurprisingly, he did not sit perfectly still long enough for me to focus my camera and take the shot.
My Result:
Next Time I Will: Maybe this could be saved, if one has a baby that is more patient and has a later bedtime. Maybe the baby in the picture was distracted by holding a cell phone. Who knows?

My guess is that either the other picture was taken during the day using curtains, or a studio without windows, or it was taken when the baby was asleep and someone just held the baby in position. The second option will be easier to recreate at home and has the bonus that the baby won’t wiggle.
