What I Did: By happy coincidence, I saw this pin about the time that my roommate left for China, so I figured I could use his rice cooker… I picked the first pancake batter recipe that popped up on google and went with it. The batter was more of a dough when it went in, and after the first 45 minute run, it was still pasty. I let it run again, and then tried to pop it out. The sides peeled away fine, but the bottom stuck.

My Result:

Next Time I Will: Try a different pancake recipe, part of the issue could be the rice cooker itself 🙁

Wow this looks SO tantalizing! I’m thinking of family pancake breakfast without spending an hour at the griddle.

I think if you have proper arrangement you can make it in half an hour. What do you say Pam?

You have to use the kind of rice cooker that has a locking lid, I don’t think they’re meant to work with glass lids, there’s nothing to keep the pressure in.
