What I Did: This project seemed pretty cool because sprite is good and gummy bears are cheap but we couldn’t find gummy bears so we settled for gummy worms.
My Result:
Next Time I Will: Freeze them longer than 3 hours, use gummy bears, and buy better popsicle holders.
This isn’t user error, the original website uses a misleading photo of the finished product. The final image of the popsicles is actually a picture of SOAP, taken from a seller on etsy. You can still use sprite and bears to make the popsicles, but do not expect the results to look like that image. I was wondering why the OP popsicles looked more like erasers, where had the blue and red gummy bears had gone, and how the sticks had transmorphed from creatures to boring regular sticks.
How misleading….
I’m not sure, when I tried this they turned out looking nice but the gummy’s I used were frozen on the inside and weirdly mushy on the outside… They were not very tasty.
I don’t think it’s you. As somebody else said, the original picture is actually soap… I tried this and just found them to taste gross. I’m not a huge gummy bear fan to start with, and I found they took on a really gross texture after being frozen in sprite.
