Looks great. I say it’s actually a win.
I would say this is a win — when I 1st saw it I thought she had her hand on the paper, so the 3D effect definitely worked!!

I wouldn’t say that it’s a total fail, but I see where she messed up the lines of color and that’s probably why she feels it is a fail. This is one of those projects where you might want to plan out the black first, then do it one line at a time so that they all stay congruent and it looks like the hand really is under the fabric. It looks like she maybe did the hand and background separately instead of at the same time. She had a good start and made a valiant effort, though. It’s not an easy piece to pull off by any means.
