What I Did: This recipe looked cute and super easy! The use of canned pie filling and refrigerated pie crust meant less work for me, so I thought I’d have this one in in the bag. I added cinnamon sugar and red sprinkles to mine for a little extra flavor and fun.
Next Time I Will: I would not add egg wash to the back of my pies next time. Now that I look at it, it did say to brush egg wash “over the top” but I kind of doused mine in it, causing them to become slightly soggy and totally stick to the pan. I would also buy more pie crust next time, as the standard two crusts that comes in the refrigerated package only made 5 hand pies. They still tasted great, though!
